This course is designed to teach how to effectively and predictably maintain the dimensions of the alveolar ridge following tooth extractions. Participants will use pig jaws and typodonts to practice surgical techniques for hard- and soft-tissue preservation. By the end of the course, participants should have the ability to correctly plan and effectively utilize various surgical extraction and bone regeneration techniques. In addition, participants will learn to recognize immediate implant indications for treating fresh extraction sockets.
